从2025年4月8日起，持有 任何类型的工作签证 或 允许学期内工作的学生签证的申请人，在申请认可雇主工签（AEWV） 期间，将自动获得可工作的过渡签证（Interim Visa），在此之前需要等到工签下签后才能工作。
申请人在等待AEWV审批时，可以 直接开始他们在新AEWV申请中的工作，减少等待时间。
申请工签转居留（WTR） 的人，过渡签证上的工作时间可计入在新西兰的工作经验要求！
申请第二次或后续AEWV 的人，过渡签证上的工作时间计入AEWV的最长停留期限，但首次AEWV前的过渡签证时间不计算。
过渡签证通常自动发放，但VisaView系统不会显示其工作条件。 申请人可以查看过渡签的信件，并提供给雇主作为工作许可证明！
